Finding rest in an exhausting time.

Are you exhausted  and tired today? Or are you nervous  and need something to slow you down? Need a break from hectic, demanding busy life and schedules ?Perhaps what the body really crying and asking for is  simply rest. Where can we find rest in this tension- filled world ?

Mark 6:30 -40 The apostles  gathered together  with Jesus and they have  reported to Him what they had done and taught. And Jesus said to them;  come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.  When the  disciples returned from missionary journey, they were elated with the surprising outcome. They enthusiastically shared  how God had worked. Jesus was glad to hear the productive outcome, but He knew they needed  physical rest after their  very long  arduous journey. He invited them to secluded place and  rest with Him. We too need to  recharge and refresh ourselves to maintain our physical and spiritual strength and body.  We have this constants everyday life  schedules that demanding to be met and need to be done, there's time we felt  drained in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual life.

God's Holy Spirit gives us strength to meet our schedules  and a time schedule to meet Him too in a quiet place . God's plans  for us to include times for rest and relaxation in our schedules. Like the disciples  we needed rest too. Our rests time may consist of  a vacation where we can rest and relax or a simply  change of environment for seclusion  or quiet time

Time spend with the Lord brings renewal and refreshment.

Be  still,  and know that I am God  Psalm 46:10

Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.Matthew 11:28
